Stateside's markets include LAN-WAN support, IBM iSeries and xSeries sales and support, Internet firewall and anti-virus security and hardware maintenance for systems, line printers, impact printers, thermal and laser printers.

In 2009, Stateside decided that the time was right for the creation of SoftwarePlum. The new division would be charged with providing software to small business in three primary areas:

1. Specialty 'niche' software for several targeted markets
2. Standard 'off-the-shelf' software from Open Systems
3. Web services including e-marketing

In our opinion, one of the most glaring deficiencies in business these days is the absence of quality software applications and web services intended for small businesses; not businesses with hundreds of employees, but those with 5, 10 or 20 employees.
